Wish You Were Here

I haven't been on a vacation in months, and I am just itching to go somewhere! But seeing as how it's mid February and I'm broke, I'm going to have to settle for looking through old pictures and "traveling" a whole 45 minutes up to Salt Lake for a while. The pictures above are some of my favorites from Switzerland. Such a beautiful country with amazing architecture! Simply fantastic.

A New Leaf

I'm a cluttered person. Not messy, mind you, but cluttered. I've been in denial about that for years, but now I'm admitting it. However, I'm going to try and change that starting TODAY! And I'm starting with my car. I cleaned out all the junk and wiped it down; something I've been meaning to do for months and months. Here's a list of the stuff I found:
-A blank thank you card and envelope
-A picture of a flower drawn by Sydney H. (4th grade)
-A sweatshirt
-A coat
-An ad about finishing math in less than a semester
-A broken door handle (driver's side)
-An old sticker about when to change my oil
-Old gym pass
-Pages 2-6 of a 7 page paper
-A picture of a flower drawn by Rielly (also 4th grade)
-A list of work assignments
-Directions to the Point Restaurant
-2 nail files (one with pop-a-lock's info. on it)
-A pair of earrings
-An Abnormal Psychology textbook
-A single earring
-Information about Postpartum Depression (interesting considering I have no children)
-A plastic grocery bag
-A gas receipt
-A bubble gum flavored dum-dum sucker (gross)
-A Halloween pencil
-A pen
-A pink high-lighter
-A whistle
-A post-it with web address
-And an envelop with $10 (wahoo!)

Tomorrow- my bedroom!!!

Last Day

(Things the students were sweet enough to give me)

I work in a behavior management program at an elementary school. For eight weeks selected students from throughout the district come to our class to (hopefully) learn how to make better choices. Yesterday was the last day with the second session of kids. I hated it. These kids are absolutely AMAZING! I am not ready to let them go yet. I just pray that when they go back they will continue to be the amazing kids I know they are, and that their teachers, parents, classmates, etc. will see and help cultivate their potential.

To those students:
Thank you. Thank you for all that you taught me in the two months I was blessed to work with you. From you I gained more patience, a better sense of humor, and most importantly I learned to NEVER give up on people. You all came into my life at a time when I needed you the most. Because of you I am a better person. Because of you I will never, ever be the same.

Happy Birthday, Rachie Dear!!!

While I'm at it, I just wanted to wish Rachel (and no, I'm not referring to myself) a HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I love this girl! We've been friends since the seventh grade. She is beautiful, fun, and sweet as can be! Rach, you're the best!

I'm New at This

A while back I was talking to my friend, Brittney and she told me how much she loved blogging and following other people's blogs. I've never done the whole blog thing before and until she convinced me to look into it, I never really read others' blogs either. So I began following hers, which led me to others, which led me to others and so on. I started stumbling across some darling and inspiring blogs and I thought, "I totally want to be one of those darling and inspiring bloggers." Well, thanks a lot Britt. I'm now totally addicted to following blogs. So here we go. I'm going to give this whole blogging thing a shot.

Anyway, for Valentine's Day I made cupcakes for my class with the help of my dear friend, Melissa. I love cupcakes. I love my class. I love Melissa. I love making cupcakes for my class with Melissa.
